CVS – 8/3/11 – 92% SAVINGS!!!

August 4, 2011

Yesterday I went to CVS and scored! I went in with a plan and well it changed when I was there. Seems to happen all the time to me, yet that is okay. I was able to get $69.75 worth of stuff for only $15.75 OOP plus earned a $10 gift card to Exxon. If you consider the gas card then I saved 92%!!! I accomplished this in two transactions.

Transaction #1

Kotex U Pads – (this was a rain check) – $3.49 , coupon $1.00/1 = $2.49

Tresemme Shampoo/Conditioner – 2 for $7.00 x 3, coupon $1.00/1 x3 = $7.50

Tresemme Hairspray – 2 for $7.00 x 3, coupon $1.00/1 x3 = $7.50

Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power Razor – $9.99, coupon $4.00 = $5.99

Degree Deodorant – 2 for $6 x 2, coupon $1.00/1 x 3 = $9.00

Dove Woman’s & Men’s Deodorant – $3.00 for the woman’s $4.99 for the man’s , coupon buy one woman’s get a man’s free = $4.99 (due to the kids I did not notice they did not deduct $4.99 like they should have and I decided it wasn’t worth the trip back in the store)

Sub total: $52.46

Coupons: $17.00

CVS coupon for $10 off $50 bill

ERB from previous trip” $17.00

OOP should have been $8.46 but I paid $10.47. GGRR I just realized two of my coupons never scanned. GGRR. So I should have saved more! Between the $1.99 and the $2.00 in coupons I should have only paid OOP $11.67 for all transactions! Oh well now, can’t prove the coupon thing.

Earned ERB: $7.00

Transaction #2

Lipton Iced Tea Bags (100 ct boxes) – 2 for $5 x 4, coupon $1.00/2 x 2 = $8.00

Puffs Tissues – $0.88, coupon $1.00/6

Sub total: $15.28

Coupons: $3.00

ERB from previous trip $7.00

OOP should have been $5.28

Earned: $10.00 Exxon Gift Card

Grand Total: $67.74

Coupons: $18.00 (remember it should have been $20)

CVS Coupons: $10.00 off $50

ERB Used: $24.00

OOP: $15.74

Rewards Earned: $10 Exxon Gas Card

It was like getting it for: $5.74 as 92% savings or $0.229/each!!!
